Cem Küçük's claim about the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality regarding the espionage investigation into İmamoğlu! 'If the conversations are true, a trustee will be appointed'

A new investigation has been added to those already launched against CHP's presidential candidate and IMM Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, who has been held in Silivri Prison since March 23.

In addition to İmamoğlu, an investigation has been launched against Necati Özkan, who managed his election campaign, and journalist Merdan Yanardağ on charges of espionage.

Journalist Cem Küçük, who is close to the government, made striking statements regarding the espionage investigation.

Speaking on TGRT Haber, Cem Küçük stated that the allegations in the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office statement regarding Hüseyin Gün, who is named among the suspects cited as the basis for the investigation, have come to the fore.

"According to the prosecutor's document, the names of Merdan Yanardağ and Necati Özkan appear in the records found on Hüseyin Gün's computer," Küçük said, noting that there is an allegation that Gün communicated via programs used by 'FETÖ' and transferred voter information to a foreign intelligence service.

Küçük said the following:

"According to the prosecutor's claim, there are connections with Hüseyin Gün. Especially Necati Özkan and Merdan Yanardağ... There is the leaking of voter information and providing it to foreign intelligence holders.

This is a very serious allegation. Manipulating the 2019 elections, obtaining confidential information belonging to voters... We will likely see this allegation in the IMM indictment."

We need to see in the indictment whether there was cooperation with this man. According to the prosecutor's document, there are conversations between Yanardağ and Özkan and this individual in the records found on the computer.

There are also allegations that they gave the information they obtained to Mr. Ekrem. If it is true, it is truly grave...

There is no doubt that Hüseyin Gün is a spy. I am not saying there is doubt regarding the others. If the conversations in the statement are true, a trustee will be appointed to the IMM."
