Located 47 kilometers from the Antalya Konyaaltı coast at an altitude of 2,200 meters, this luxury hotel at the Saklıkent Ski Center was built by the Uzan Group in the early 2000s but was offered for sale before it could even open.
SOLD TO A PRIVATE COMPANY IN 2019
Although its construction was completed, the hotel could not be put into service and passed to the TMSF (Savings Deposit Insurance Fund) after the group's assets were seized. Later transferred to TEDAŞ, the hotel was registered in the name of the Treasury by court order and was sold to a private company by the National Real Estate Directorate in 2019.
However, the hotel could not be put into service over the passing years and fell into disuse. Its exterior was damaged by weather conditions, its windows were broken, and the items inside were looted. During the period when Deputy Minister of Interior Münir Karaloğlu was the Governor of Antalya, various initiatives were undertaken to save the hotel, but these efforts were forgotten after Karaloğlu was appointed to Diyarbakır.
THE PLAN COULD NOT BE REALIZED
The officials of the company that purchased the hotel in 2019 stated in their announcements at the time that they intended to invest in the region, had established close relations with the cooperative management, and planned to renovate and open the hotel for service in 2020. However, this plan could not be realized due to the pandemic process and other reasons.
REAL ESTATE AGENT DOES NOT DISCLOSE THE PRICE
In recent months, a 'for sale' sign was hung on the idle hotel. The authorized real estate agent stated that they had received information that the sale of the hotel had been carried out, but that they could not make a statement regarding the details.
This 22-room hotel has a closed area of 555 square meters on a 3,567-square-meter plot of land. Although its broken exterior windows were renewed after the 2019 sale, many of the exterior windows were broken again once the hotel fell into disuse again.
