Chief Public Prosecutor's Office issues statement on Sadettin Saran's second drug test result
It was claimed that the second drug test taken by Fenerbahçe President Sadettin Saran returned negative. Fenerbahçe Club President Sadettin Saran was recently detained as part of a drug investigation.
Following his release under judicial control, it was reported that the drug test conducted by the Council of Forensic Medicine on Saran had returned positive.
It was claimed that a test Saran had conducted at an independent institution returned negative.
Speaking on the matter on TGRT Haber, Prof. Dr. Serhat Ulağlı stated that it is inexplicable for drug tests conducted between public and private institutions to yield different results.
Ulağlı said, “Fenerbahçe Club President Saran's test had come back positive. When he had a test done elsewhere, it came back negative. It is very difficult to explain why a test conducted at a public institution that is trusted one hundred percent and one conducted at a private institution would yield different results.”

The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office issued a statement regarding the issue. The statement from the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office reported that the only examination in the investigation belongs to the Council of Forensic Medicine and that no other expert report has reached the prosecutor's office.

"The only biological examination report entered into the file in the investigation regarding Sadettin Saran belongs to the Council of Forensic Medicine.
There is no private laboratory or expert report that has reached the prosecutor's office. The investigation is ongoing."
