Contradictions deepen: Lies of Salim and Nevzat in the Narin Güran murder case exposed

The trial of the detained defendants—mother Yüksel, brother Enes, uncle Salim Güran, and Nevzat Bahtiyar—regarding the murder of Narin Güran, whose lifeless body was found in a sack in a stream bed 19 days after she went missing in Diyarbakır, was held last week.

The hearing, which lasted 3 days and resulted in the decision to keep the defendants in custody, was adjourned until December 26.

Speaking about the case, Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç had also announced that the court requested new expert reports. As new reports are being gathered, a striking detail has come to light.

THE 'WATER OUTAGE' LIE

According to a report by Halk TV, it has been revealed that the statements made by uncle Salim Güran and Nevzat Bahtiyar claiming they were in contact due to a "water outage" were not true.

A report obtained from the Diyarbakır Water and Sewerage Administration (DİSKİ) stated that there was no water outage in the region on the day of the murder.

In court, the prosecutor asked Nevzat Bahtiyar why he had contacted Salim Güran at 17:46, which coincides with the time of the murder.

In his initial statement, Bahtiyar said, "We never spoke," but later claimed he had called due to a water outage.

However, after lawyer Nahit Eren pointed out that there was no record of an outage in the municipality's logs for that date, Bahtiyar replied by saying, "I don't know."

The DİSKİ report confirmed that there was no outage in the region on that date.

The report stated that there were no complaints or outage records reflected in DİSKİ's logs.

While the water outage justification has been proven baseless in light of the evidence, it was reported that the investigation is ongoing to uncover further details regarding the day of the incident.
