Breaking earthquake news has come from Antalya. The Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) announced that a 4.5-magnitude earthquake occurred in the Gulf of Antalya.
The earthquake, which took place at 16:51, was felt particularly in Alanya. The Kandilli Observatory also announced the magnitude of the earthquake as 4.6.

EARTHQUAKE WARNING ON LIVE BROADCAST
Speaking on a live CNN TÜRK broadcast, seismologist Prof. Dr. Süleyman Pampal reminded that there are constant earthquakes in the Mediterranean. Pampal said, "Since the 3rd century AD, there have been 8 earthquakes with a magnitude of 8.5. Even if it is not as much as Crete-Rhodes, it is the collision point of the plates."
"Earthquakes are normal. There are traces of tsunamis in this region, at the point where the Aegean and the Mediterranean meet," said Pampal, warning that "more severe earthquakes are expected along the Crete-Rhodes line."
