‘Dar Gömlek Tolga’ from the TV series Çocuklar Duymasın was arrested in the IMM investigation: Allegations of being Murat Kapki's 'secret safe'!

It has been learned that actor Serkan Balbal, known for his role as “Dar gömlek Tolga” (Tight-shirt Tolga) in the once-popular television series Çocuklar Duymasın, was arrested as part of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) investigation. It was stated that Balbal was released as a whistleblower after a 50-day detention period.

The allegations in question were included in a column by journalist Barış Terkoğlu published in the Cumhuriyet newspaper. The report stated that the prosecutor's office accused Balbal of being the "safe" for Murat Kapki, one of the key figures in the IMM investigation.

THE PROCESS BEGAN WITH A “CONTENTIOUS DIVORCE CASE”

It was stated that the process leading to Balbal's arrest began with the divorce case he was going through with his wife. According to Terkoğlu's article, Balbal claimed during the divorce process that his wife was using drugs and requested a protection order for their children. However, as a result of the investigation conducted by the prosecutor's office, it was determined that his wife did not use drugs, and a decision of non-prosecution was issued regarding the file.

In return, Balbal's wife, Sabanur Balbal, accused her husband of infidelity. It was noted that during the trial process, the person named Fatma, who was the “other woman” in question, testified in court and confessed to having an affair with Balbal.

“KAPKİ’S SECRET SAFE” ALLEGATION

During the divorce proceedings, the allegations brought up by Balbal's wife drew attention. According to Sabanur Balbal's testimony, her husband, Serkan Balbal, was described as the “secret safe” of Murat Kapki, one of the main figures in the IMM investigation.

The interrogation records contained information that Serkan Balbal and Murat Kapki were running a secret partnership in a cosmetics company together. According to the findings of the prosecutor's office, it was alleged that large amounts of money were transferred between Balbal and Kapki, and this situation led to Balbal's arrest.

According to information reflected in the divorce case file, it was alleged that many real estate properties were transferred to Serkan Balbal just before a precautionary measure was applied to Murat Kapki's assets.

In the petition submitted to the court by Sabanur Balbal, the statements included: “Four villas in Bodrum, two villas in Beykoz Acarkent, and a plot of land in Marmaris were transferred. Additionally, companies were opened in the USA and Switzerland, and a portion of the money was transferred there.”

ALLEGATION OF TRANSPORTING MONEY BY POLICE VEHICLE

Within the scope of the investigation, it was also alleged that attempts were made to transfer some assets through Şeyhmus Sarıboğa, known as Kapki's “bodyguard.” In fact, according to Sabanur Balbal's testimony, she was also pressured regarding the “transfer of assets.”

In the prosecutor's file, the words of Murat Kapki's cousin, who testified within the scope of effective remorse, drew attention: “Kapki used a vehicle with a siren assigned to the Police Department. We would occasionally transport cash with this vehicle.”

“HE BECAME A WHISTLEBLOWER, WAS RELEASED”

It was stated that Serkan Balbal, who was detained during the IMM investigation process, benefited from the effective remorse law after spending 50 days in prison and was released as a result.

Among the accusations directed at Balbal by the prosecutor's office is the laundering of proceeds of crime obtained together with Murat Kapki.

It was alleged that Murat Kapki, who is at the center of the IMM investigation, worked with business circles close to the AKP in the past and also maintained commercial relations with CHP-run municipalities during certain periods.

It was stated that three applications for effective remorse were made regarding Kapki, but these requests were rejected.
