Defne Samyeli lashes out at the reconciliation process and the CHP! 'The baby killer is becoming a founding leader...'

Many figures from the worlds of art and media have been appearing on the "Fatih Altaylı cannot interpret" program on the YouTube channel of journalist Fatih Altaylı, who is currently being held at Silivri Prison. The latest guest on the program was Defne Samyeli.

SHARP REACTION TO THE RECONCILIATION PROCESS

Samyeli made striking criticisms regarding the National Solidarity, Brotherhood and Democracy Commission, which was formed in Parliament as part of the new reconciliation process.

Reacting to the process with the words, "The baby killer Apo is becoming a 'founding leader' today. How can they talk about these things as if they were normal? Is there some kind of social hypnosis? It makes one lose their mind!" Samyeli said:

"I am not against the brotherhood of peoples, but why are you bringing up the concept of 'Türkiyeli' (person from Turkey)? Why are you trying to divide us?"

"I believe in Atatürk's Turkish nationalism. Why should I give up my national identity just because someone else wants a different country?"

'THERE IS AN OPPOSITION THAT PLAYS THE ROLE OF AN OPPOSITION'

Samyeli also touched upon the CHP's role in the process and used harsh words.

Stating, "I am a CHP supporter; I have never voted for another party. But there have been many moments where I wished I hadn't voted for them," Samyeli pointed to the strategic mistakes of the opposition and expressed the following:

"There is an opposition here that is playing the role of an opposition. Such mistakes are being made in strategic places that it is as if they are gifting the government to the ruling party. We experienced this a lot in the last elections."

CRITICISMS DIRECTED AT THE CHP

Recalling Özgür Özel's remarks at rallies, Samyeli reacted to the party's decision regarding the commission:

"The opposition party I voted for, Özgür Özel, showed an extraordinary stance in the squares; he ranted and raved. Yes, we said, 'The game is finally being broken...'"

"But if you are shouting 'There is lawlessness' and pouring people out into the streets, and then you align yourself with someone else's strategy and join their commission the moment they say 'We will now solve the Kurdish issue,' then I am surprised. I mean, I think there is something not going right here."

"YOU ARE LOSING YOUR OWN VOTERS"

Describing the policies pursued by the CHP as "eclectic," Samyeli concluded her words as follows:

"You are pursuing such an eclectic, strange policy at the expense of losing your own base voters just so you can get votes from the Kurdish people."

"You go out into the streets and then say, 'There is no turning back from this path. We have taken to the streets...' Then, the moment the other side says 'I am going to do something like this,' you go like a lamb and join the commission. In other words, you become a player in someone else's game by attaching yourself to it."
