COMMITTED MURDERS ONE AFTER ANOTHER
Mehmet Tehçi (44), a 19-year veteran police officer serving in the patrol units in the Tarsus district of Mersin, first strangled his wife Ferdane Tehçi (37) to death at their home yesterday. He then came to Adana and killed his father-in-law Yusuf (66), mother-in-law Hüsne (61), and aunt-in-law Semiha Tehçi (51) by stabbing them.
Later, he shot and killed his brother-in-law Fatih İsmail Tehçi, a mathematics teacher at a study center, and dumped his body in a wooded area.
WHY DID HIS SON COMMIT SUICIDE?
It was learned that Mehmet Tehçi had 3 children, and one of them, 15-year-old Ökkeş Berk Tehçi, committed suicide in August 2024 in the Tarsus district of Mersin using his father's service pistol.
It is alleged that a very close male friend of the child had passed away, causing him to fall into a depression, which led to his mental health deteriorating and his subsequent suicide.
