Ground operations continued throughout the night to bring the forest fires that started yesterday in the Kuyucak neighborhood of Menderes district and the Doğanbey neighborhood of Seferihisar district under control.
Aerial intervention efforts for the forest fires resumed with the first light of day.
Efforts are underway to extinguish the fires affecting Menderes and Seferihisar using 4 aircraft, 14 helicopters, and ground crews.
Due to strong winds, helicopters were unable to intervene in the forest fire that started yesterday in the Kuyucak neighborhood, and evacuation procedures were initiated in many residential areas in the region.
