It turns out Ela Rümeysa Cebeci also joined Erdoğan's trip years ago

Journalist İsmail Saymaz revealed that Ela Rümeysa Cebeci participated in President Erdoğan's 2021 trip to Shusha, Azerbaijan, and took part in the trip while wearing a Presidential badge.

Emphasizing that Cebeci was an unknown TV100 presenter at the time, Saymaz offered a sharp critique, asking, "With what merit and professional criteria was she invited?"

In his remarks on the "Para Siyaset" program hosted by Ebru Baki on Halk TV, İsmail Saymaz stated that in 2021, Ela Rümeysa Cebeci joined the trip to the Shusha region of Azerbaijan alongside President Erdoğan.

Saymaz noted that Cebeci was an unknown figure to the public at that time and questioned her participation in the trip with a Presidential badge.

"She has a Presidential badge. She was at TV100 at the time. Now, of course, I don't think the President knows Ela Rümeysa Cebeci at all. Even if he did, I am sure he would not have liked the situation. He would have been uncomfortable," he said.

Addressing the then-Communications Director Fahrettin Altun regarding the organization of this trip, which she attended wearing a Presidential badge, Saymaz questioned the merit behind Cebeci's invitation.

Saymaz stated, "I have no criticism regarding the President himself. However, I expect those who organize these trips for the President, especially the then-Communications Director Fahrettin Altun, to provide an answer. Based on what background and experience did you invite Ela Rümeysa Cebeci to this trip?"

Comparing Cebeci to the well-known journalists who were on the trip despite her being an unknown name to the public, Saymaz asked, "Who suggested this invitation? Did the channel suggest it?"

İsmail Saymaz suggested that avoiding critical questions directed at President Erdoğan could harm him. Pointing out the potential consequences of inviting only those who do not criticize him to events attended by the President, Saymaz used the following expression: "Is this staff, the staff organizing this, not aware that they are harming the President in the name of shielding him from critical questions?"
