Ela Rümeysa Cebeci gives additional statement: Drug confession made

As part of the investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, former Habertürk TV Editor-in-Chief Mehmet Akif Ersoy, Ufuk Tetik, Ebru Gülan, Mustafa Manaz, and broadcaster Ela Rümeysa Cebeci were arrested. Within the framework of the investigation, a supplementary statement was taken from Ela Rümeysa Cebeci.

"I USED IT IN THE PAST, I DID NOT SELL IT"

Reminding that she had previously stated she did not use drugs in her supplementary statement, Cebeci noted that she gave the statement today at her own request. Cebeci stated that she never sold drugs and did not provide drugs to anyone.

STATED SHE GAVE PHONE PASSWORDS VOLUNTARILY

Cebeci stated that she gave her phone passwords voluntarily because she trusted the person. She noted that she also voluntarily handed over the password for the second phone she used.

In her statement, admitting that there was evidence of drug use in her blood and WhatsApp correspondence, Cebeci said she had used drugs in the past. However, she emphasized that she did not use chemical drugs or the substance 'k'.

Cebeci stated that she did not know that the use of 't. e.' was a crime, and that she fell into this error because she thought drugs were legal abroad.

In her supplementary statement, Cebeci stated that she had a relationship with Sadettin Saran in 2021, and that they continued to meet as friends afterward.

Reiterating that she was not a drug dealer but only a user, Cebeci requested that new samples be taken from her hair and blood. In her statement, she also noted that she would give another statement in the future to explain what she knows and the damage to her reputation that she claims to have experienced.
