Erdoğan competes against Yavaş and İmamoğlu: Unprecedented gap in presidential poll!

Saros Research has shared the results of its “Turkey Agenda and Politics Survey.” In the survey, which was conducted in August with 7,487 people across 26 cities, participants were asked about early elections, constitutional amendments, and presidential elections.

According to reports by Sözcü, the results of the survey, which was mostly answered by participants between the ages of 25-44, are as follows:

3 OUT OF EVERY 4 PEOPLE WANT EARLY ELECTIONS

When asked, “Should an early election be held in Turkey before 2028?”, 74 percent said “Yes.” While 24 percent answered this question with “No,” 19 percent said “I have no opinion.”

Citizens gave the following response to the question, “What do you think is the main reason President Erdoğan wants to change the constitution?”:

68.9 percent: To be re-elected president

13.9 percent: To get rid of the coup constitution

In the presidential election poll, AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan was pitted against Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu and Ankara Metropolitan Municipality (ABB) Mayor Mansur Yavaş.

The response to the question, “If a presidential election were held this Sunday and Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Ekrem İmamoğlu were to run, which candidate would you vote for?” was as follows:

54.2 percent İmamoğlu

45.8 percent Erdoğan.

Participants answered the question, “If a presidential election were held this Sunday and Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Mansur Yavaş were to run, which candidate would you vote for?” as follows:

59.1 percent Mansur Yavaş;

40.9 percent Erdoğan.
