Erdoğan pinned their badges: 7 mayors officially joined the AKP!
Seven mayors who left their parties joined the AKP today at the party's "2025-2026 Members of Parliament Meeting." Among those who joined were 3 from the New Welfare Party (YRP), 2 from DEVA, 1 from the Democrat Party, and 1 from the CHP.

The AKP's "2025-2026 Members of Parliament Meeting" program took place at the party's headquarters.
During the meeting, where AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan delivered a speech, 7 mayors also officially joined the AKP.
At the ceremony in the hall, President Erdoğan personally pinned the badges of the newly joined mayors.
The mayors who joined the AKP are as follows:
1- Ardahan Göle: Gökhan Budak - CHP
2- Gümüşhane Şiran: Abdulbaki Kara - DP
3- Muş Bulanık, Gedik Town: Abid Özdemir - DEVA
4- Muş Bulanık, Sarıpınar Town: Maşuk Ataş - DEVA
5- Bingöl Central, Ilıcalar Town: Eşref Varol - YRP
6- Giresun, Ören Town: Soner Erkan - YRP
7- Bingöl Central, Sancak Town: Hayrettin Küçük - YRP
At the end of the ceremony, Erdoğan posed for a group photo on stage with the new mayors.
