Explosive Kılıçdaroğlu claim regarding CHP's September 21 convention! 'If he comes...'
12punto
A new debate has begun within the CHP following the appointment of a trustee to the party's Istanbul Provincial Administration. Following the decision, attention has turned to the convention lawsuit scheduled for September 15.
It is being discussed that the trustee decision for Istanbul could pave the way for an "absolute nullity" ruling in the convention lawsuit. If this scenario unfolds, claims have emerged that a trustee could also be appointed to the CHP Headquarters.
EXTRAORDINARY CONVENTION MOVE BY DELEGATES
Following these developments, delegates across Turkey have taken action for an extraordinary convention. With approximately one thousand delegates providing signatures, it was decided to hold an extraordinary convention on September 21. This process is being evaluated as a step that will reshape the power balances within the party.
ÖZEL: “THE CONVENTION IS IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE LAW”
CHP Chairman Özgür Özel emphasized that the upcoming convention will take place entirely through the will of the delegates. Stating that "the convention cannot be blocked by the chairman," Özel expressed that the process is in accordance with the law. He also underlined that in the event of a possible "absolute nullity" ruling, a trustee could only remain in office for 6 days.
STRIKING CLAIM FROM TERKOĞLU
During this period of intense debate, journalist Barış Terkoğlu also put forward a notable claim. Speaking on the Onlar TV channel on YouTube, Terkoğlu relayed the conversations Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu had with his inner circle. According to Terkoğlu, Kılıçdaroğlu will accept the position, and the convention planned for September 21 will be canceled.
Terkoğlu stated the following:
"Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu told his circle: I will not speak about these matters, and neither should you.
There is already a silence on this issue. That is why they are not speaking at all. I asked Kılıçdaroğlu's circle, 'If an absolute nullity ruling comes out on September 15, will Kılıçdaroğlu accept this decision?' The general consensus among the people around him is that he will accept the court's decision.
Most of the figures around Kılıçdaroğlu, and I think Kılıçdaroğlu himself, believe that they were cheated in the convention in November 2023. They think there was fraud, and those around him think so too. They believe that they were cheated, that the delegate system was corrupted with financial means, and that the chairmanship was lost this way. Both because he thinks this way and because the court will make such a decision, those around him say that Kılıçdaroğlu will accept it.
If he returns to the seat, he will cancel the September 21 convention. They will say: The convention is being held with delegate signatures. Since the party has already returned to November 2023, they will say that these delegate signatures, the chairman's approval, and all subsequent processes are void.
What will happen if the CHP Headquarters says 'I am not doing it' and the court generally cancels all delegates?"
