Fatih Altaylı lists the names expected to be released in the IMM case!

Journalist Fatih Altaylı, who is being held at Silivri Prison, continues to send letters and notes to his YouTube channel through his lawyers.

Altaylı brought to the agenda the statements made by former AKP deputy Şamil Tayyar regarding the IMM case. He addressed Tayyar's words: "Indictments will be submitted to the court between September 1 and October 3, and trials will begin in October."

Commenting on these words, Altaylı said, "This is an optimistic estimate," adding, "Even if they are submitted in September, these will be thick, comprehensive indictments."

Stating that the process will not proceed easily, Altaylı said, "These indictments will randomly fall to a court, to a High Criminal Court. Then the court panel will read these indictments. They will either accept them or say 'this is not done' and send them back to the prosecutor's office. Let's say they accept them. Then they will set a trial date. We don't know if it will be one month or five months."

Recalling his own case, Altaylı gave an example:

"After the acceptance of Ümit Özdağ's case, the trial date was set for 2-3 months later, if I remember correctly. My indictment consisted of a half-page tape transcript. It was written in mid-July and accepted in early August. October 3 was given as the court date. Trials may not start that quickly."

Speaking about the detained individuals, Altaylı expressed that some names could be released early. According to Altaylı, those names are as follows:

Esenyurt Mayor Ahmet Özer,

Şişli Mayor Resul Emrah Şahan,

Adana Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Zeydan Karalar,

Beyoğlu Mayor İnan Güney

IPA President Buğra Gökce

Altaylı spoke as follows:

"Once it begins, the first ones expected to be released could be Ahmet Özer, Emrah Şahan, Buğra Gökce, and Zeydan Karalar. Because the allegations against these individuals are very, very weak. I would also add İnan Güney to this list."
