Journalist Fatih Altaylı stated that high-resolution cameras and an AI-supported facial recognition system are actively operating at Istanbul Airport.
It was stated that thanks to this system, Tayfun Demirören's image was processed to identify him, and once it was determined that there was an arrest warrant against him, the police took action.
"A technology straight out of a Hollywood movie sent Tayfun Demirören behind bars," said Altaylı, emphasizing that this incident demonstrates the level reached by security technologies in Turkey.
