Journalist Fatih Altaylı evaluated the possibility of MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli leading Turkey toward an early election. Altaylı also revealed the potential dates the AKP might be planning for an early election.

Journalist Fatih Altaylı, who has been detained in Silivri Prison since June 2, continues to evaluate the agenda through notes sent via his lawyers.
Responding to the question of whether MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli will once again take the country to an early election, Altaylı assessed this possibility as 'zero'.
However, Altaylı emphasized that Bahçeli is 'the most unpredictable politician in the world,' stating that the AKP would not have the courage to hold an election before October-November 2027.
Stating that the dismissal of Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek could be a sign of an early election, Altaylı made the following assessments:
"Let me move on to your question from here. You asked if I see a possibility of an early election?
If you are wondering whether Devlet Bahçeli will take the country to an early election, let me tell you. I see the probability of the MHP leader taking the country to an early election as close to zero.
Such a possibility is one in a thousand, but Devlet Bahçeli is the most unpredictable politician or party leader in the world. Let someone come out and say that they can predict what Devlet Bahçeli will do. I would laugh at them. For example, who could have predicted exactly this time last year that Devlet Bahçeli would come out a month later and say that Öcalan should come to parliament and give a speech, and then call Öcalan a founding leader?
We could multiply the examples, but there is no need. No one can predict what Devlet Bey thinks or what he will do. But still, I do not think he will take Turkey to an early election. The AK Party also cannot dare to hold an election before October or November 2027. Unless they foresee that the situation will completely spiral out of control and lead to a total collapse in 2027.
We would understand that from the dismissal of Mehmet Şimşek anyway. Frankly, I have no expectation of an early election, that is, a genuine early election. I also cannot make an election prediction as a result of social pressure."
