The latest product to receive a geographical indication is the Bursa peach.
Hisarcıklıoğlu stated the following in his post:
"Best wishes to Bursa and our country. I congratulate everyone who contributed. We possess a product diversity that is granted to very few geographies in the world. As TOBB and the chamber-exchange community, we are making intensive efforts for local and geographically indicated products. Our work continues regarding 53 geographical indications and 5 traditional product names that are in the European Union process."
