Guardian shock for İnan Kıraç: 128 million deal over his assets
A major legal and financial crisis has erupted following the appointment of a guardian for 87-year-old businessman İnan Kıraç on the grounds that he is not of sound mind. All of Kıraç's lawyers were dismissed, and a decision was made to pay 128 million liras to a lawyer from Çorum in their place.

A guardian has been appointed for İnan Kıraç, one of Turkey's prominent business figures and a member of the Koç family, by the Anatolian 2nd Civil Court of Peace on the grounds that he no longer possesses legal capacity.
As debates regarding the 87-year-old Kıraç's health status have reached the public eye, new allegations concerning both intra-family tensions and the management of his fortune have emerged following this decision.
It is known that İnan Kıraç has been in a long-standing legal battle with his daughter, İpek Kıraç. Kıraç had married Emine Alangoya, who served as an accounting manager at Koç Holding for many years.
However, this marriage was also annulled by the court following the guardianship decision. Emine Alangoya broke her silence, describing the events as a "conspiracy."
ALANGOYA: HE WANTED TO DONATE HIS ASSETS TO FOUNDATIONS, HE BECAME A TARGET
In her statement, Alangoya expressed the following:
“İnan Bey decided to donate all his assets to the Galatasaray Education Foundation, which he founded, and the İnan Kıraç Foundation, which bears his own name. After this decision, a chain of events began. A guardian was appointed as a result of lawsuits filed by his daughter. His decision to donate his assets to foundations brought about a serious legal and perception operation.”
128 MILLION FOR A LAWYER FROM THE GUARDIANS
According to the report by Seyhan Avşar from Gerçek Gündem, the two guardians appointed for İnan Kıraç terminated the duties of all of Kıraç's authorized lawyers as their first act.
They replaced them with a lawyer named Eşref Kaya, who is registered with the Çorum Bar Association.
However, the real development that shook public opinion was the fee planned to be paid to this lawyer. The guardianship committee decided to award a legal fee of exactly 128 million liras to Lawyer Eşref Kaya.
