GÜNDEMAR Research took the political pulse of Turkey with a survey conducted between September 20-26, 2025, involving 2,235 people across 60 provinces. The study, which focused on parliamentary and presidential elections, revealed striking results.
In the poll, when asked "If there were a parliamentary election this Sunday," the responses—after proportionally distributing undecided voters, those who said they have no opinion, and protest votes—were as follows:
CHP: Maintains its position as the leading party with 35.83%.
AKP: Placed second with 30.95%.
DEM Party: 8.34%
MHP: 6.39%
Zafer Party: 6.28%
İYİ Party: 4.94%
Yeniden Refah Party: 2.78%
Anahtar Party: 1.47%
TİP: 0.99%
Other parties: 2.03%
The section of the poll regarding the presidential elections contains even more striking results for the ruling party. In potential second-round scenarios, it is observed that all opposition candidates are ahead of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. According to the data, Erdoğan trails behind Ekrem İmamoğlu, Özgür Özel, and Mansur Yavaş.
EKREM İMAMOĞLU LEADS ERDOĞAN BY 11 POINTS
Participants were first asked who they would vote for if there were an election between Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu and Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. According to the results:
Ekrem İmamoğlu: 55.58%
Recep Tayyip Erdoğan: 44.42%
İmamoğlu appears to be leading against Erdoğan with a margin of 11.16 points.
THE GAP WIDENS WITH MANSUR YAVAŞ
In the scenario where Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş competes against Erdoğan, the gap grows even further. According to the poll results:
Mansur Yavaş: 58.09%
Recep Tayyip Erdoğan: 41.91%
Yavaş achieves a margin of 16.18 points against Erdoğan.
ÖZGÜR ÖZEL IS ALSO AHEAD OF ERDOĞAN
The picture does not change when CHP Chairman Özgür Özel is mentioned. When participants were asked to choose between Özel and Erdoğan, the results were as follows:
Özgür Özel: 52.31%
Recep Tayyip Erdoğan: 47.69%
Özel is 4.62 points ahead of Erdoğan.
