He described the power of Menzil: 'There is a Menzil member in every cabinet'

Journalist İsmail Saymaz stated that the Menzil Order, which has returned to the agenda with a mass repentance ceremony in İzmir, has rapidly gained power in the public sector following the purge of the Gülenists.

Saymaz expressed that Menzil has transformed into an organized structure within many critical state institutions.

Stating that İzmir has historically always carried this type of vein, Saymaz evaluated the city from the past to the present. Noting that İzmir was a city governed by center-right municipalities until the beginning of the 2000s, Saymaz said, "İzmir is a city that follows the Adnan Menderes line. Fethullah Gülen opened his first private school, Yamanlar College, here. When FETÖ collapsed, one of the most effective Olympics was held in İzmir," he used the expressions.

Reminding that the AKP's vote share in İzmir is around 35%, Saymaz said, "If cultural conflicts and lifestyle tensions had not manifested in politics in the country, we could have seen a very different picture in İzmir."

INTEREST IN THE MENZIL ORDER IS INCREASING

Stating that the Menzil Order was only involved in activities such as collecting sacrificial hides in the past, Saymaz expressed that it has now turned into a large corporate structure. He said that Menzil has become a holding company with associations, television stations, and radio stations abroad.

THEY REPLACED THE GÜLENISTS

Saymaz stated that the Menzil Order gained power rapidly in the public sector after the purge of the Gülenists. Saying that it has influence in every point from the Ministry of Health to the Ministry of Interior, Saymaz said, "The Menzil Order filled every space vacated by the Gülenists." Saymaz reported that some health associations even direct drug addicts to this order.

MENZIL MEMBERS ARE PRESENT IN THE AKP CABINET

Saymaz stated that there is definitely a Menzil member in every AKP government cabinet. Pointing out that Menzil is becoming increasingly mass-based and integrated into the public, Saymaz said, "From Health Minister Taner Bey to the Minister of Energy, there are always Menzil members. There is always a Menzil cadre in public institutions and organizations," he used the expressions.

Saymaz said that after the death of the leader of the Menzil Order, the order split into three, but each of them united at the same point. Stating that the social base of the order remained in the hands of Sheikh Saki, Saymaz said, "These structures, which act like three different orders, are actually directed toward the same goal."
