He had previously threatened him by saying 'I will have you arrested': Ebru Şallı's husband Uğur Akkuş's viral posts about Fatih Altaylı
Immediately after journalist Fatih Altaylı, who was targeted by Chief Advisor to the President Oktay Saral, was detained on charges of threatening the president, the posts directed at Altaylı by Uğur Akkuş, the husband of Ebru Şallı who is currently in the process of divorce, have become a major topic of discussion.

Journalist Fatih Altaylı, who was targeted by AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's chief advisor Oktay Saral with the words 'Altaylı, your water is boiling', was detained yesterday evening.
In a statement made by the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, it was stated that "An ex officio investigation has been initiated against Fatih Altaylı for the crime of 'Threatening the President' due to his threatening remarks targeting our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in the broadcast dated 20/06/2025 on the 'YouTube' channel bearing his own name, and the aforementioned person has been apprehended and detained in accordance with the instructions given to the Istanbul Police Department."
While Altaylı's interrogation at the police station continues, he is expected to be referred to the prosecutor's office and, in the event of a request for arrest, brought before the Duty Magistrate Judge.
Following Altaylı's detention, Uğur Akkuş, the husband of Ebru Şallı who is in the process of divorce, made consecutive posts on his social media account.
Ebru Şallı had stated in a program where she was a guest on Fatih Altaylı's YouTube channel that she had been subjected to violence by her husband Uğur Akkuş and had obtained a restraining order by court decision. Following Şallı's interview with Altaylı, Uğur Akkuş had threatened Fatih Altaylı at the time with a post on his social media account, saying, "I will have you arrested."
Akkuş used the following expressions in a post he made on his Instagram account after Fatih Altaylı was detained:
"What happened, I told you I would have you arrested! I told you I would feast inside! I told you I would put you in reverse handcuffs!"
In another post, he shared a screenshot of the detention news and wrote the following statement:
"There is no lie in me. I do what I say. You will learn slowly, I will teach you!"
"Let the next one come, let's see, stop me if you can! I have started the bonito season! Next!"
