In the latest general election poll conducted by Sonar Research, owned by Hakan Bayrakçı who is close to the government, the gap between the CHP and the AKP drew attention. Sonar Research, which predicted the closest results for the general elections on May 14-28, 2023, and the local elections on March 31, 2024, has shared the results of its latest general election poll.
In the poll, participants were asked, "If there were an election this Sunday, which party would you vote for?"
The CHP took the first place in the poll. It was observed that the gap between the CHP and the AKP was 5.3 percent.
AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, in his statement on the plane while returning from Azerbaijan regarding the poll results announced by the CHP, claimed that his party was in the first place, saying, "No matter how many polls they conduct, we also have polls conducted. The leading party in Turkey is the AK Party. The AK Party is walking with firm steps with the People's Alliance."
The results of the poll conducted by Sonar Research are as follows:
CHP: 36.2 percent
AKP: 30.9 percent
DEM Party: 9.3 percent
MHP: 7.4 percent
İYİ Party: 6.3 percent
Victory Party (Zafer Partisi): 5.1 percent
New Welfare Party (Yeniden Refah Partisi): 2.5 percent
Other: 2.3 percent
