Trump’s plan, which has drawn attention since the start of the war with his rhetoric of “I will end it in one day,” has sparked controversy, particularly due to provisions seen as favoring Russia.
TRUMP EMPHASIZES “FINAL OFFER”
According to a report by Axios, Trump presented the draft of the peace plan to Ukrainian officials in Paris last week and stated that it was his “final offer.” White House officials also announced that if an agreement is not reached in a short time, negotiations could be terminated entirely.

The most striking element of the peace plan is that it allows Russia to retain control over a large portion of the territory it seized during the invasion of Ukraine that began in 2022. It is also stated that the US would recognize Crimea as Russian territory.
