Elif Petrol, a company in which Aktaş is a partner, is building what is set to be Europe's largest gas station along the TEM highway in Gaziosmanpaşa, Istanbul. This station draws significant attention with its 76 pumps. Meanwhile, the construction of the shopping mall (AVM) located next to the station is also progressing rapidly.

MIDNIGHT LAW AMENDMENT

The construction permit for the shopping mall was granted through a special law passed in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) in the middle of the night. With this permit, the construction process accelerated once again. Aziz İhsan Aktaş had been arrested due to accusations regarding the Beşiktaş Municipality but was released under effective remorse provisions. Following Aktaş's release, rapid progress has been made on the shopping mall construction. While the exterior was open in June, exterior cladding work has now begun.

Elif Petrol's website does not contain any information regarding the gas station on the TEM highway. However, the gas station is being promoted on Opet's official YouTube page. The website mentions work done by Elif Petrol with the Beşiktaş Municipality, Seyhan Municipality, and IETT, but makes no reference to any AKP-run municipality.

NO AKP, BUT CHP IS PRESENT

With the amendment made in the middle of the night via a proposal submitted to Parliament by the AKP, the construction permit for the shopping mall was also issued. Furthermore, following Aziz İhsan Aktaş's statement of effective remorse, 9 mayors were arrested as a result of operations conducted against CHP-run municipalities.
