A hidden camera scandal has emerged at a bungalow business in Sapanca. While the business owner and his partner have been arrested, the Wi-Fi-enabled cameras used at the facility have been sent for forensic examination.

M.K., who came to a business with multiple bungalows in the Uzunkum neighborhood of Sapanca district for a vacation with his family from Istanbul, realized there was a hidden camera after noticing that one of the ceiling light fixtures looked different.
M.K. called the police, reported the situation, and filed a complaint against the business. Police teams arrived at the address upon the report and conducted an investigation at the facility.
All digital materials belonging to the business owner were seized.
Business owner Hüseyin K. and his friend Tansel S., who is alleged to be his partner, were arrested as part of the investigation into the incident.
The statements of the suspects, Hüseyin K. and Tansel S., have emerged.
It was stated that in their testimonies to the police and the prosecutor's office regarding the charge of 'violation of privacy,' they claimed they had built 3 bungalows in Sapanca to start a business and had continued operations.
Denying the accusations against them, the two suspects reportedly stated that they rented the bungalows to customers they contacted over the internet and that they had no knowledge of the hidden camera incident.
PHONES SENT FOR FORENSIC EXAMINATION
It was stated that the Sapanca Chief Public Prosecutor's Office ordered the arrests based on 'strong suspicion of a crime' after an examination of the mobile phones revealed that some materials related to the hidden camera were found on one of the suspects.
The suspects' phones were also seized and sent for forensic examination.
Meanwhile, it was determined that the lightbulb-shaped camera found in the chandelier used in the room had the capability to broadcast live via a Wi-Fi feature.
The police have also initiated a forensic investigation into the internet connection by tracking the Wi-Fi feature of the hidden camera, which also has a memory card slot. The facility in question has been closed indefinitely by Sapanca Municipality teams.
FACILITY WITH 91 BUNGALOWS SEALED
On the other hand, another business in the same region, which is one of the prominent hotels in Sapanca and also a chain brand, containing 91 bungalows, was also sealed by the Sapanca Municipality for not having the necessary legal permits and licenses.
