New developments in the tragic fire that occurred on March 18 in the Nazilli district of Aydın have revealed that the incident was not just a simple house fire. While 32-year-old Fatma G. and her two children, aged 4 and 11, lost their lives in the fire, the suspicion of murder regarding the incident is growing stronger.

MOTHER AND TWO CHILDREN LOST THEIR LIVES IN THE FIRE

The fire broke out in the home of T.G., who works at the Aydın Metropolitan Municipality Fire Department. T.G.'s wife, Fatma G., who was in the process of divorcing him, and their two children, who were in the house during the fire, were trapped in the flames and lost their lives. While the incident caused great sorrow, allegations that would change the course of the event emerged shortly after.

SUSPECT T.G. GOT ENGAGED AFTER THE FIRE

Following the fire, police teams detained T.G. on suspicion of starting the fire and causing the deaths. It was revealed that shortly after, T.G. got engaged to a nurse named F.T. As part of the investigation, F.T. was also detained and her statement was taken. T.G. was arrested by the court he was brought before.

Teams examining the details of the incident determined that the fire only broke out in the bedroom and did not spread to any other room. This situation suggested that the fire was intentionally limited to a specific area. Furthermore, according to security camera footage, it was recorded that T.G. entered and left the house just before the fire and subsequently fell ill and fainted.

The prosecutor's office is focusing on the possibility that T.G. used ether to put his wife and children to sleep. It was determined that the suspect, T.G., had obtained ether one day before the incident. HEADPHONES IN HER EARS DEEPENED THE MURDER SUSPICION

Nazilli Chief Public Prosecutor Murat Dilsiz, who examined the scene after the fire, noticed that Fatma G. had headphones in her ears. Stating that this detail did not match an ordinary fire, the Chief Prosecutor said, “No one listens to music at such a moment. This strengthens the suspicion that the victims may have been sedated.”

RELAXED SLEEP STATE AND HEADPHONES BECAME THE KEY

Chief Prosecutor Dilsiz stated that details such as the mother being in a relaxed state of sleep, her hand being under the pillow, and the headphones being worn suggested that the victims were caught in the fire while unconscious. These findings have deepened the investigation into the possibility that the incident was a planned murder.

THE VEIL OF SECRECY WILL BE LIFTED BY AUTOPSY

The most critical stage of the investigation will be the forensic medical reports. Chief Prosecutor Dilsiz stated, “Whether T.G. gave ether to his wife and children will be clarified by the autopsy to be performed. Our current findings strengthen the possibility of a planned act.”
