İmamoğlu announces: 9 new metro and tram lines are coming to Istanbul
Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu has announced that 9 new metro and tram lines will be coming to Istanbul.

The 2025 budget of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality has been approved at 564 billion TL.
IMM Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu gave the good news of 9 new metro and tram lines at the IMM Assembly meeting in Saraçhane.
Stating that feasibility and route survey studies for the projects are ongoing, İmamoğlu also said that the project work for HIZRAY, which will reduce the travel time between Sabiha Gökçen Airport and Beylikdüzü to 55 minutes, has been completed.
Providing information on the latest status of the Üsküdar-Kadıköy-Maltepe tram line, İmamoğlu said, "We plan to go to tender in 2025 and open it by the end of 2028 for our project, for which we have received approvals from the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure and EIA approvals."
9 NEW METRO AND TRAM LINES FOR ISTANBUL
The 9 new metro and tram lines, which will have a total length of 76.4 km, are as follows:
1- Ümraniye-Üsküdar-Beykoz metro line
2- Hacıosman-Çayırbaşı-Sarıyer metro line
3- İTÜ-Maslak-Kâğıthane metro line
4- Üsküdar-Kadıköy metro line
5- Ayvansaray-Fenertepe metro line
6- The Emek-Söğütlüçeşme section of the Yenidoğan-Söğütlüçeşme metro line
7- Bostancı-Kayışdağı Tram Line
8- Laleli-Ayvansaray Tram Line
9- Zincirlikuyu-Ortaköy cable car line
