“There was a 4.1 magnitude earthquake in Nilüfer/Bursa. It is within the right-lateral Uluabat Fault zone. This zone accumulates stress slowly. Its last major earthquake (greater than 7) occurred in 1855. It caused significant loss of life and property. We do not know when these faults will produce an earthquake. It needs to be examined in detail.”
