In this context, the allegations raised regarding Ela Rümeysa Cebeci, who was recently arrested, and Kenan Tekdağ, who was sent to prison in the Can Holding case, have sparked a new debate.
According to the allegations, it was claimed that Kenan Tekdağ took Ela Rümeysa Cebeci with him to certain meetings with high-level bureaucrats and members of the judiciary, and that he gained benefits through an alleged sexual relationship.
The fact that AKP member Şamil Tayyar shared on his social media account, without naming names, that a media group executive had gone to see members of the judiciary with a female anchor also fueled these discussions.
The claim that the person Tayyar was pointing to was Kenan Tekdağ began to be discussed in political circles.
TEKDAĞ'S RESPONSE TO THE ALLEGATIONS
Kenan Tekdağ responded to the allegations in question with a letter he sent to Barış Terkoğlu. While categorically denying the accusations directed at him, Tekdağ included the following statements in his letter:
"I have learned that a conspiracy has been orchestrated against my honor through the dishonorable and base slanders of a secret witness.
I only saw the mentioned anchor for 15 minutes during the hiring process, while Show Haber Editor-in-Chief Rıdvan Bıyık was present. Other than that, I have had no meetings, direct or indirect messaging, or phone calls with her, neither in the building nor outside of it.
It is shameful to even be in a position where I have to make a statement against this immoral slander. I take refuge in the justice of God and the fair testimony of fair people against these conscienceless individuals who are not ashamed to trifle with people's honor and dignity in this way."
