Kılıçdaroğlu breaks silence on claims he will form a new party! Will he attend the 39th Ordinary Congress?

The lawsuit filed for the cancellation of the CHP's 38th Ordinary and 21st Extraordinary Conventions was rejected. The silence of Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, who was expected to take over the party leadership in the event of an absolute nullity ruling, had drawn attention during this process.

Journalist Sinan Burhan had claimed that a faction within the CHP supporting Kılıçdaroğlu had suggested, "Let's form a new party." Burhan had stated the following:

"Provincial and district chairs as well as MPs within the CHP who support Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu seem to have reached a new crossroads. It is alleged that some names will bring the proposal of 'let's form a new party' to Kılıçdaroğlu's door."

Kılıçdaroğlu gave a short and clear response to the new party allegations. Speaking to Nefes columnist Aytunç Erkin, Kılıçdaroğlu replied to the claim by saying, "It is complete nonsense."

Erkin carried the interview he conducted with former CHP Ankara MP Bülent Kuşoğlu, who is close to Kılıçdaroğlu, to his column in Nefes.

"I asked Bülent Kuşoğlu, 'Is there any work on a new party?'

He said:

"WE WILL NOT ABANDON THE PARTY"

"We are the ones who are party members. Would we abandon the party? On the contrary, it is necessary to embrace it more than ever. We see the problems being experienced both from within and from outside, and we think it is time to embrace the party even more."

So, "Will they continue in politics?"

Kuşoğlu spoke very clearly:

"WE HAVE NO POLITICAL AMBITIONS"

"We have no plans to continue in politics. Neither does Mr. Kemal. If there had been a case of absolute nullity, he would have worked for a term. We have no political ambitions."

Then what will Kılıçdaroğlu and his friends do? Bülent Kuşoğlu replied, "Intellectual work will continue. We are in a period of global change, and everyone needs to do something."

"IF HE HAD SAID 'THERE IS FRAUD IN THE CONVENTION,' THE RESULT WOULD HAVE BEEN DIFFERENT"

Were they expecting a "lack of subject matter and rejection" from the court in Ankara? Or were they surprised? Experienced politician Kuşoğlu said the following:

"I was not surprised by the result. There was an atmosphere as if it would be dragged out again this time. Look, everyone is missing this: If Mr. Kemal had said when called by the court, 'Yes, I am a victim, there is fraud in the convention,' this ruling would not have been issued. Or if names like me had made that statement, the decision would not have been taken this way. Also, do not forget: The decision was made on procedural grounds; the merits were not addressed. The allegations of fraud were not examined. Procedurally, it was called 'lack of subject matter.' Let me underline this; if Mr. Kemal had gone to court, this result would not have emerged. What is interesting is that the court rejected the case after two years. This is a judicial scandal. If there was such a procedural situation, it should have been rejected at the beginning. It was bad that such a decision was made after causing so much debate about the CHP."

One of the questions on everyone's mind is this: What would have happened if Kılıçdaroğlu had made a statement from the very beginning without being involved in the debate?

"THEY WORE MR. KEMAL DOWN"

Kuşoğlu replied, "Actually, he did say it. It was distorted. When the lawsuit was filed, he said, 'There is no fraud, do not damage our party.' As I understand it, the CHP management needed an enemy. They wore Mr. Kemal down and ensured their own unity." Bülent Kuşoğlu's following sentences were striking: "Look, there is a convention ahead of us, and the CHP management needs to be cleansed of dubious names; a different Party Assembly should be formed. A more reasonable list should be created."
