Kılıçdaroğlu camp breaks silence on party congress! What will they do if absolute nullity is declared?

All eyes in the Republican People's Party (CHP) have turned to the congress lawsuit on September 15. The fact that former Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu has maintained his silence regarding the process has drawn attention.

Kılıçdaroğlu's lack of reaction to Gürsel Tekin, who was appointed as a trustee to the CHP İstanbul Provincial Presidency, entering the building under police escort, and his absence from the CHP's anniversary celebrations had drawn criticism.

With only days left until the congress lawsuit, remarkable statements have come from a figure close to Kılıçdaroğlu.

Nefes Gazetesi columnist Aytunç Erkin shared the details of his meeting with the individual close to Kılıçdaroğlu in his column.

The individual close to Kılıçdaroğlu made the following assessment regarding the possibility of a ruling of absolute nullity being issued and Kılıçdaroğlu returning to lead the party by court order:

"There is no plan. There will be a court decision, and the state will be forced to implement it. But let me state this clearly: Mr. Kemal would not pit party members against the police. He would never do that. The scenes in Istanbul would not be repeated. He would not go to the headquarters with the police. If a decision is issued, he would meet with Mr. Özgür and work to plan a roadmap together."

Speaking about Kılıçdaroğlu's silence, the source stated, "He does not speak. Whatever he says, they perceive it differently. The party's social media presence is incredible during this period. They have even overshadowed Erdoğan. They are working better than the Directorate of Communications. They lynch whoever they want, but they are constantly lynching Mr. Kemal. The lawsuit is specifically directed not at the government, but always at Mr. Kemal."

Recalling CHP leader Özgür Özel's statement, "We are waiting for a statement from Mr. Kemal," the politician said the following:

"Can he not call Mr. Kemal and talk to him? If this is the future of Turkey and the party, why are they not talking? Why doesn't he call to talk?

If Mr. Kemal were to say, 'If a ruling of absolute nullity is issued, I will not accept the duty,' if the goal is to stir up the party, there could be no better opportunity for the government than that!"

"If he does not accept the duty, it means the party will be left to people who are not political and lack leadership qualities. They would keep the party in those hands for two years, until the election. For them, it is a party that does not engage in politics and does not produce. What a great situation for the government? It is so strange that they expect this from Mr. Kemal. I cannot understand it."
