A shocking violation has been detected in full-fat milk produced under contract by the Danone company and sold at A101 stores under the Birşah brand.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry determined that water had been added to milk with batch number 176L. Following this situation, which threatens consumer health, the products were quickly recalled.
RECALL DECISION
Ministry officials noticed during routine food inspections that the fat and dry matter ratios in Birşah milk with batch number 176L did not comply with regulations.
As a result of a more detailed examination, it was revealed that water had been mixed into the milk.
Upon the determination of the violation, the Ministry decided to have the relevant products removed from store shelves and called on consumers to return the products they had purchased.
REMINDS OF PAST FOOD SCANDALS
In inspections conducted by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, it had previously been determined that high amounts of water were injected into chicken products, and that different species were mixed and sold in meat products such as ground meat and sucuk.
