Martyr Nurettin Tokyürek’s remains found after 3 years

The remains of Infantry Specialist Sergeant Nurettin Tokyürek, who was martyred on July 7, 2022, in the Operation Claw-Lock region, have been found after a 3-year interval. Tokyürek's body was brought to Erzurum from Istanbul by air yesterday.

In addition to the martyr's family and relatives, a large number of citizens attended the welcoming ceremony. Following the ceremony held at the Narmanlı Mosque at noon today, Tokyürek was laid to rest amidst the tears of his family and fellow citizens.

It was stated that Martyr Tokyürek had requested to be buried in his hometown of Sığırlı village in the event of his martyrdom. During the burial ceremony held at the village cemetery in accordance with his will, Tokyürek's family embraced his remains and wept.

The fact that Martyr Tokyürek had expressed a wish to be buried in a beautiful place if he were to be martyred during a conversation with his brother, Yusuf Tokyürek, one day before his passing, deeply saddened those who heard it.

The martyr soldier's final wish was also fulfilled. Tokyürek's funeral was laid to rest in Sığırlı village with prayers.
