Ministry announces list of adulterated food products: Provinces with the highest horse and donkey meat sales identified
The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry has published its latest list regarding adulterated food products, announcing items found to contain pork, horse, and donkey meat. The highest rates of illegal meat usage were detected in Adana and Sakarya.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry is taking a significant step in food safety with its list of fraudulent foods, which it has been updating regularly since October 2.
In the latest announcement, it was revealed that pork was detected in the products of 3 businesses, while horse and donkey meat were also found to have been sold to consumers in some products.
According to the list, it was determined that pork was used in the tas kebab at Merve Lokantası in Antalya, in the beef ribs at a Chinese restaurant in Fethiye, and in beef sausage sold under the Havran’lı Kasap brand.
It had previously been announced that pork was also found in the products of Köfteci Yusuf, which was among the food businesses listed.
WHICH PROVINCES SELL THE MOST HORSE AND PORK MEAT?
According to a report by Türkiye Gazetesi, ministry data shows that Adana and Sakarya have come to the forefront in the scandal involving the use of horse and donkey meat.
It was determined that 15 businesses in Adana and 7 businesses in Sakarya were involved in these illegal activities.
These two provinces were followed by Antalya, Mersin, and Manisa, each with 4 businesses.
