In Adana, minibus driver Mehmet A. made headlines after being stabbed on his minibus by his wife, Sabriye A., who is in the process of divorcing him.
Mehmet A., who was attacked with pepper spray and then a knife while the vehicle was in motion, sustained injuries to his arm and neck.
Following the incident, which caused panic among passengers, Sabriye A. got off the vehicle and fled. The young woman, who was taken into custody, was sentenced to house arrest.
Explaining the background of the events, Sabriye A. claimed that she had received immoral proposals from people she did not know due to her husband's gambling debts. Sabriye A. stated, "After this proposal, I explained the situation to my husband. However, he mockingly told me that 'nothing will happen from one time.' An argument broke out, and he took our child and left."

The other party to the incident, Mehmet A., denied his wife's claims on a television program and alleged that he was the one who had been cheated on.
Mehmet A. said, "My wife was staying in luxury hotels and traveling in luxury vehicles in Istanbul. I learned this from her social media posts and my friends. I still accepted the infidelity, but we fought because of this incident. I received a prison sentence."
Sabriye A., who connected to the program by phone, defended herself, saying, "I am pregnant. If I were such a person, why would my husband want to be with me?"
