New development in the Narin Güran murder case: Uncle Salim Güran's step count determined

A new development has been recorded in the case regarding the murder of Narin Güran, whose lifeless body was found in the Eğertutmaz Stream on the 19th day of search efforts after she went missing on August 21 in the rural Tavşantepe neighborhood of Diyarbakır's Bağlar district.

SALİM GÜRAN'S MOVEMENTS ENTERED INTO THE CASE FILE

According to the report in Sözcü, an additional expert report requested regarding the technical data and methods used for the narrowed base station report has been added to the case file. The report emphasizes that there could be a margin of error due to movement and transitions between base stations of approximately 2 meters and 1 minute, and it states that signals were received from at least 20 different base stations. The report also includes details on Salim Güran's movements.

The report included the following statements:

"-Salim Güran arrived at Arif Güran's residence around 15:20 on the day of the incident, and his base station was Diyarbakır Sur Abdaldede Gazi Street 168 A Sur/Diyarbakır,

- He moved to the barn area around 15:22, and his base station was Diyarbakır Sur Dicle,

- He was inside the house between 15:22 and 15:26, and his base station was Diyarbakır Bağlar Yeniköy Bediüzzaman Street Bağlar Diyarbakır,

- He entered Arif Güran's residence around 15:36, and his base stations were Diyarbakır Bağlar Yeniköy Bediüzzaman Street Bağlar Diyarbakır and Diyarbakır Sur Abdaldede Gazi Street 168 A Sur Diyarbakır,

- When he spoke with Mehmet Selim Atasoy around 15:52, he was at Arif Güran's residence, and his base station was Diyarbakır Sur Abdaldede Gazi Street 168 A Sur Diyarbakır,

- He was at the back of Arif Güran's residence around 16:08, and his base station was Diyarbakır Sur Dicle, Sur Diyarbakır,

-Around 16:35, he was in the cornfield located by Uzunbahçe, and his base station was Diyarbakır Bağlar Buçuktepe Uzunbahçe, Bağlar Diyarbakır,

APPLICATION RECORDED 45 STEPS

Following a request by the Güran family's lawyer, Onur Akdağ, the phone of the detained suspect, uncle Salim Güran, was retrieved from judicial custody and re-examined. The examination determined that the pedometer application on his phone recorded 45 steps between 15:00 and 16:00, the time of the murder.

The prepared minutes have been entered into the case file. The minutes state that Salim Güran's mobile phone was examined after being retrieved from custody in accordance with the requests of Mustafa Demir, Yılmaz Demiroğlu, and Onur Akdağ, the defense attorneys for suspects Enes Güran, Yüksel Güran, and Salim Güran.

PHONE OPENED IN THE PRESENCE OF THE COMMITTEE

It was stated that the mobile phone was opened in the presence of the suspect's defense attorneys and the committee, and "When entering the application named 'Applications' from the list of applications, it was seen that there was a section called steps, and when clicking on the details section of the application, the data appeared.

When the date was set to August 21, 2024, in the dates section, it was seen that there was a record of 11,526 total steps, 2 hours and 21 minutes of duration, 6 kilometers of distance, and 461 calories; when a detailed examination was made regarding the steps,

it was observed that there was a record of 450 steps between 12:00-13:00, 533 steps between 13:00-14:00, 266 steps between 14:00-15:00, 45 steps between 15:00-16:00, 949 steps between 16:00-17:00, 804 steps between 17:00-18:00, 430 steps between 18:00-19:00, 2,310 steps between 19:00-20:00, 1,049 steps between 20:00-21:00, 1,702 steps between 21:00-22:00, 883 steps between 22:00-23:00, and 523 steps between 23:00-24:00; after the examination, the application and the phone were turned off, and these minutes were recorded."
