Mustafa Demir, the attorney for defendant Enes Güran, provided a new assessment regarding the events during the period Narin Güran went missing. The attorney suggested that a video on Nevzat Bahtiyar's phone, which shows children playing in a barn, points to the location Narin referred to as her "secret and cool spot."

Recalling that Narin had told her friends before she went missing, "I have a secret and cool spot," Attorney Demir stated that this expression might be referring to Nevzat Bahtiyar's barn.
Attorney Demir stated: "The 'secret and cool spot' Narin mentioned could be the barn. Children were playing in that area, and this video shows that the aforementioned barn had become a playground for the children."
Demir noted that the video provides very important data for the investigation, adding, "The possibility that Narin was taken to the barn by Nevzat before she could reach the path is increasing. This video strengthens the possibility that Narin may have been lured and that something happened to her there."
WHAT HAPPENED?
In the Bağlar district of Diyarbakır, 8-year-old Narin Güran went missing on August 21, 2024, after leaving home to attend a Quran course. After a 19-day search, the little girl's lifeless body was found in the Eğertutmaz Stream, hidden inside a sack and covered with stones.
The Forensic Medicine Institute determined that Narin was strangled to death. Among those detained as part of the investigation were her mother, uncle, and older brother. The Diyarbakır 8th High Criminal Court sentenced her mother Yüksel Güran, uncle Salim Güran, and brother Enes Güran to aggravated life imprisonment for "intentional killing in complicity." Nevzat Bahtiyar, who transported the body, received a sentence of 4 years and 6 months.
