New development regarding Kanal Istanbul: New housing units are coming
Construction has accelerated in the Sazlıdere Water Basin in Istanbul's Arnavutköy district with mega-projects launched by TOKİ. With the projects for which the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) process has been initiated, 12 thousand new housing units will be built along the Kanal Istanbul route. The total cost of the projects will reach 14 billion TL.

The Sazlıdere Water Basin in Arnavutköy, Istanbul, has been drawing attention with its rapidly developing construction since April. The Housing Development Administration (TOKİ), affiliated with the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, continues to accelerate tenders along the Kanal İstanbul route.
The Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) process has been initiated for the housing units to be built in 6 different areas in the Sazlıbosna neighborhood of Arnavutköy.
12 THOUSAND MORE HOUSING UNITS TO BE BUILT
With the EIA process, a total of 12 thousand 92 more housing units will be built in Sazlıdere. These projects will be implemented within the scope of the "250 Thousand Social Housing Project." TOKİ's EIA applications will initiate a large-scale construction process that will affect the ecosystem in one of Istanbul's important water basins.
14 BILLION TL INVESTMENT
The budget allocated for the projects will reach 14 billion TL. A total of 14 billion 694 million TL will be spent on the projects to be built in the 13th, 14th, and 15th regions. In the 13th region, 1689 housing units will be built in two phases.
A commercial center, a mosque, a health facility, and a primary school will also be included. In the 14th region, 2 thousand 127 housing units will rise along with a school and a mosque. In the 15th region, a primary school will be built in addition to 1265 housing units and 76 shops.
In the 18th region project, valued at 5 million 528 thousand TL, a total of 2135 housing units will be built. In the first phase, 1026 housing units and 12 shops will be built, while the second phase will include 1109 housing units and 12 shops. A total of 36 blocks will be built in the projects.
