Recently, cash withdrawal limits via QR codes were increased to facilitate transactions made at ATMs. However, this method did not become sufficiently widespread, particularly because elderly customers have difficulty using it. This situation made regulations for direct card-based withdrawal transactions mandatory.
In addition to this, some banks have begun to disable the use of 50 TL and 100 TL banknotes at ATMs. Now, cash can only be withdrawn from many ATMs using 200 TL banknotes.
