New footage emerges in Minguzzi murder: Suspect followed him for minutes

New security camera footage has come to light regarding the murder of 14-year-old Mattia Ahmet Minguzzi in Istanbul, an incident that recently plunged all of Turkey into mourning. The final moments of 14-year-old Mattia Ahmet before he was brutally murdered were recorded by cameras at the flea market.

Mattia, the son of Italian chef Andrea Minguzzi and cellist Yasemin Akıncılar, frequently visited the flea market where second-hand goods are sold due to his passion for skateboarding.

On that day, Mattia had come to the market to buy skateboard equipment, where he encountered B.B., who was one year his senior. The security camera footage shows moments where B.B. harassed and verbally provoked Mattia in the market area.

FOLLOWED FOR A LONG TIME

Following a brief argument, it was observed that B.B. resorted to physical violence. Moments where some shopkeepers at the market intervened to break up the fight were also clearly captured on camera. However, despite this intervention, B.B. did not leave Mattia alone.

In the footage broadcast by TV100, the suspect is seen following Mattia step-by-step for minutes and watching him from various points in the market. Although the moment of the murder was not captured on camera, this preceding pursuit and attempted assault reveal that the incident was premeditated.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Following the fatal stabbing of 14-year-old Ahmet Minguzzi in Kadıköy, Istanbul, it was revealed that the murder suspect and his accomplice had met at the Fikirtepe Metrobüs station. The footage had included moments where the suspect was seen laughing while describing how he stabbed Ahmet Minguzzi.

Dr. Rezan Epözdemir, the lawyer for the Minguzzi family, stated that two other children present at the scene also participated in the murder and filed a criminal complaint with the prosecutor's office, leading to the detention of two more children.
