Regarding Güllü's death, her daughter Tuğyan Ülkem Gülter, her friend Sultan Nur Ulu, and 3 other individuals who were present at the house that day had been taken into custody.

Speaking on the program titled Bu Sabah, which airs on Show TV, Güllü's close friend Çiğdem Turan recounted the events leading up to the tragic death.

Turan shared a conversation she had with Güllü just 3-4 days before her passing: "Güllü told me, 'My sister, I need you. They are going to kill me.' She was my friend for 42 years; we were closer than sisters. I was Tuğyan's wet nurse. Could a mother do such a thing to her own child?" she said.

Turan also made striking statements regarding the behavior of Güllü's daughter, Tuğyan.

"Tuğyan was an aggressive child since she was little; she was someone who fed on chaos. Unfortunately, Güllü covered up her mistakes. Güllü was against Tuğyan having a relationship with a married man. I think Tuğberk also had a small part in this incident," she stated. Turan also described Güllü's state of mind in her final years with these words: "After Güllü had gastric surgery and the traffic accident she was involved in, she was living in fear. She was trying so hard not to get into fights."

Following Çiğdem Turan, Güllü's former assistant Bedriye Karabulut also made statements. Karabulut stated that she had worked with Güllü for 13 years and had also established close relationships with her children.

Regarding Güllü's excessive alcohol consumption, Karabulut said: "Güllü had a tolerance for alcohol; she wasn't affected very much. However, her arguments with Tuğyan had started to involve physical force. I was always the one stepping in between them."

Bedriye Karabulut also criticized the video in which Tuğberk announced the news of his mother's death, saying, "I couldn't believe it when I heard the statement Tuğberk made at 6 that morning, saying, 'My mother did not commit suicide.'
