Offal found in sausage, banned dye in spices! The Ministry has exposed them one by one
The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry continues to expose companies engaged in fraud and adulteration. In the newly published list, health-risking adulterations were detected in many products ranging from spices to sausages, and from cheese to food supplements. The non-compliant products contain offal, poultry meat, skin tissue, and banned coloring agents.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry continues to expose fraud in food products one by one. New products and new brands have been added to the list of foods that are imitated or adulterated, published by the Ministry. The reasons for the lack of safety in the products in question were also disclosed.
BANNED DYE IN SPICES
While the Halktan brand Cajun seasoning and Arda Baharat sumac products were included in the Ministry's list of "Foods That Endanger Health," the non-compliance was stated as "detection of dye not permitted for use in food."
MANY PRODUCTS FROM PITA AND LAHMACUN FILLING TO SAUSAGE ARE ON THE LIST
In the 'addition of substances that do not carry the same value' section of the Ministry's list of "Imitated or adulterated foods," many products such as pita filling, lahmacun filling, sausage, olive oil, thyme, black pepper, kashar cheese, butter, and tulum cheese were included.
HERE IS WHAT WAS FOUND INSIDE
According to the list in question; poultry meat was detected in the beef-lamb mixed pita filling, while offal was identified in the lahmacun filling. It was also revealed that another pita filling contained skin tissue, poultry meat, and offal.
In beef sausage products, skin tissue, offal, and poultry meat were detected.
In the 'lack of content affecting the basic characteristic' section of the Ministry's "Imitated or adulterated foods" list, products such as tablet food supplements containing collagen peptide types and zinc, white cheese, kashar cheese, butter, and curd cheese were included.
While it was stated that the declared active ingredient was not detected in the tablet food supplement as a non-compliance, "low fat percentage" was determined as the non-compliance for other cheese and oil products.
