The post-Erdoğan era stirs up AKP corridors: Timur Soykan reveals Erdoğan's goal

Journalist Timur Soykan made notable remarks during yesterday's Onlar TV broadcast regarding the post-Erdoğan scenarios being discussed in AKP corridors. 

Stating that Erdoğan will not vacate his seat, Soykan said he received the words "Erdoğan will not leave" from within AKP circles.

Stating that Erdoğan's primary objective is to be re-elected as President,Soykan said, "Preparations for the post-Erdoğan era are being made, but as long as Erdoğan is on the political stage, these preparations have nomeaning at all."Soykanadded.Soykanfurther stated that Erdoğan's plans willnever come to anend.

Drawing on information from AKP corridors, Soykan pointed out that Erdoğan will not leave his seat to anyone, not even his son. "Erdoğan will not leave that seat to anyone, not even his son. Because protecting that seat is his primary goal," said Soykan, noting that Erdoğan plans to take steps such as constitutional amendments to achieve this goal.

CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT WILL BE PURSUED

Journalist Soykan also touched upon the fact that Erdoğan needs to pursue a constitutional amendment to bypass the two-term limit. Reminding that under the current system, Erdoğan can only serve as President for two terms, Soykan said this situation poses a significant obstacle in Erdoğan's political strategy. Soykan emphasized that this is why preparations for a constitutional amendment will be set in motion and that Erdoğan does not want to vacate his seat.

In recent days, various names have begun to come to the fore in AKP corridors for the post-Erdoğan era. Names such as Hakan Fidan, Berat Albayrak, Bilal Erdoğan, and Selçuk Bayraktar are being discussed as potential successors.
