Proposal from Özgür Özel to Muharrem İnce: Claims that the Homeland Party will 'annex' to the CHP... 'Within 10 days...'

Following the joining of the AKP by Kürşad Zorlu, who resigned from the İYİ Party, and while claims are on the agenda that in addition to 2 İYİ Party deputies, several other independent deputies in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) will also switch to the AKP, a striking transfer claim has been put forward regarding Homeland Party Chairman Muharrem İnce.

It has been stated that İnce, who founded the Homeland Party after leaving the CHP and withdrew his presidential candidacy just days before the 2023 elections, will join the CHP in a short time.

It has been stated that CHP Chairman Özgür Özel has called on Homeland Party Chairman Muharrem İnce to return to the party. Halk TV columnist İsmail Saymaz, who reported that Muharrem İnce has also decided to join the CHP, wrote that the proposal came from Özel.

Homeland Party leader Muharrem İnce is returning to his political home, the CHP.

The proposal came from Özgür Özel.

İnce first met with Özel in Ankara.

Last week, he also met with Özel and İmamoğlu and shook hands.

İnce is expected to annex into the CHP along with the Homeland Party within 10 days.

Homeland Party executives explain the reason for this decision as follows:

“It is very difficult for us to survive in a two-pole political system. We have reached 150 thousand members. Because of their opposition to the AK Party, our members say ‘We cannot win’ and vote for the CHP in elections.”
