Raise rate finalized: President, minister, and MP salaries have been determined
With the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) announcing the December inflation data, the January raise for civil servants and civil servant retirees has been finalized at 18.60 percent. This increase will also be reflected in the salaries of the president, ministers, and members of parliament as required by legislation. Following the raise, the salaries of high-level public officials have become clear.

The Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) announced the inflation increase for December as 0.89 percent. Following this data, along with the increase stemming from the collective bargaining agreement, the total raise rate that civil servants and civil servant retirees will receive in January has become 18.60 percent.
In accordance with the regulation, the increase in civil servant salaries will be reflected at the same rate in the salaries of the president, ministers, and members of parliament as required by law.
PRESIDENTIAL AND MP SALARIES CLARIFIED
According to reports by Sözcü, as of January, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's salary will be 312,718 TL following the raise.
When the 177,658 TL pension he receives as a retired member of parliament is added, President Erdoğan's total monthly income will reach approximately 490,000 TL.
LOWEST PENSION TO RISE TO 18,938 TL
The 6-month inflation difference for SSK and Bağ-Kur retirees was calculated at 12.19 percent. Following this rate, the regulation to be made for the lowest pension is expected to be submitted to the TBMM (Grand National Assembly of Turkey) by the ruling party in the coming days.
The lowest pension, which is currently 16,881 TL, will rise to 18,938 TL if the proposal is accepted.
MP SALARY EXCEEDS 273,000 TL
With the raise, the monthly salary of members of parliament has been set at 273,196 TL. Retired MP pensions have risen to the level of 177,658 TL.
It is known that 499 members of parliament serving in the TBMM receive both an active MP salary and a pension. The total monthly income of MPs in this category will reach 450,000 TL.
MINISTERIAL SALARY BECOMES 280,000 TL
Following the increase, the monthly salary of ministers serving in the cabinet was calculated as 280,135 TL. The total monthly income of those who also receive a pension alongside their ministerial duties has risen to the level of 456,993 TL.
On the other hand, the pensions to be received by former presidents Ahmet Necdet Sezer and Abdullah Gül have been set at 204,297 TL.
