Journalist Fatih Altaylı was targeted on social media after clips from a video he published on his personal YouTube channel yesterday were circulated, and he was detained by police teams from his home in Teşvikiye in the evening hours.

Businessman Uğur Akkuş, the husband of former model Ebru Şallı who is currently in the process of divorce, had targeted journalist Altaylı on social media following statements Şallı made on Fatih Altaylı's YouTube channel.
Making statements on his social media account after Altaylı's detention, Akkuş wrote, "What happened, I told you I would have you arrested!" In his subsequent posts, Akkuş added the notes, "I do whatever I say, you will learn slowly."
Following his remarkable posts about Altaylı last night, Akkuş this time made posts saying, "Let the next one come, let's see, stop me if you can! I have started the bonito season! Next!", "Next! Next Please!"

Ebru Şallı had obtained a restraining order through a court decision after stating that she had been subjected to violence by Uğur Akkuş.

CONVICTED OF QUALIFIED FRAUD
Businessman Uğur Akkuş and his nephew Emre Akkuş were sentenced to 4 years and 2 months in prison each and fined 83 thousand 320 liras each for the crime of "qualified fraud" in a case where they were tried for issuing bad checks in a transaction in 2024.
