Revealed the Güran family's new plan: They are relying on that Member of Parliament... Who will they use as bait?

The trial process regarding the death of 8-year-old Narin Güran, who went missing on August 21 in the Tavşantepe neighborhood of the central Bağlar district and whose lifeless body was found in the Eğertutmaz Stream yesterday, continues. The court sentenced the mother, brother, and uncle to aggravated life imprisonment, and Bahtiyar to 4 years and 6 months in prison.

A 944-page reasoned decision was written regarding the prison sentences handed down to the detained defendants—mother Yüksel, brother Enes, and uncle Salim Güran—as well as Nevzat Bahtiyar, who confessed to hiding Narin's lifeless body in the Eğertutmaz Stream, during the final hearing of the case held at the Diyarbakır 8th High Criminal Court on December 28, 2024.

Speaking to Ekol TV about the Narin Güran murder, retired Homicide Bureau Chief Savaş Kurtbaba made striking statements about the process while the trial continues.

"NEW STRATEGIES ARE STARTING NOW"

Stating that the defendants and those who want to cover up the incident will resort to new methods, Kurtbaba explained: "New strategies are starting now. Their lawyers told them, 'We will get you out. We will save you,' but that calculation is not like that at all. The court has already crushed the 'benefit of the doubt' part. The court said, yes, there is doubt in what is said, but the evidence and what we say are a whole; therefore, the doubt has been eliminated."

"THEY WILL THROW THE MOTHER AS BAIT"

Kurtbaba continued his speech: "They will request a hearing at the appellate court and they will definitely bring out a piece of bait. They will tell mother Yüksel to take the blame. I have been saying since the very beginning of the incident that the prime suspect is brother Enes. They did so many scenarios, so many things that shouldn't have been done. For example, making the electric wires touch each other, buying burner phones and calling the gendarmerie to give false reports, giving false reports..."

"THEY ATTACKED WITH BOT ACCOUNTS"

"When the court panel gathered to deliver the verdict, they sent a threatening message to the court president's mother. At the same time, they sent a message to the clerk of the court himself. The owner of the criminal bureau called me and said, 'While they were doing the final work, 40-45 bot accounts attacked us.'"

"THE MEMBER OF PARLIAMENT ISSUED A THREAT"

When asked what they are relying on, Kurtbaba said, "The moment a political party's Member of Parliament said on the first day of the incident, 'I know the family, I love the family. I know many things but I cannot speak,' you put the family under protection. That is a show of force/intimidation.

The honorable Member of Parliament should have said, 'Okay, we are friends, we are acquaintances, but there is an 8-year-old child here, our duty is to uncover the culprit.' If he had said that, all of Turkey would have held him in high regard, but if you speak in such a contrary way, you gain antipathy," he said, expressing his reaction.
