In the Keçiören district of Ankara, 22-year-old Hakan Çakır lost his life after being stabbed while attempting to confront individuals who were harassing his sister and mother.

His father and older brother were also injured in the incident.

Following reports from bystanders to the 112 Emergency CallCenter, police and medical teams were dispatched to thescene. Hakan Çakır died at the scene, while his injured father and brother were taken to the hospital.

Police apprehended and detained the 5 suspects who fled the scene shortly after the incident. While the father and his three sons were arrested, an individual identified as U.K. was released.
