Shocking detail in Narin Güran murder: Uncle Salim Güran established a "Narin Group"

It has emerged that Salim Güran, the imprisoned uncle of 8-year-old Narin Güran, who was murdered in Diyarbakır, created a WhatsApp group named "Narin Group" during the days the young girl was missing.

In the analysis of phone images submitted to the case file, it was determined that Uncle Salim added all family members bearing the Güran surname, as well as his nephews bearing the Mehmetoğlu surname, to this group.

THEY TRACKED SEARCH OPERATIONS FROM HERE

According to the report by Özgür Cebe from Sözcü, it was determined that the Gürans followed the search operations as a daily routine through this group and acted in unity of thought and action regarding how to cover up evidence.

It was reported that during the days the gendarmerie was searching the village, they wrote to the Mehmetoğlu family through this group to seek advice on what they should do so that the weapons in the village would not be seized.

It was learned that the Mehmetoğlu family suggested that the weapons hidden in the village be handed over to the women, as women would never attract attention, and that they should hide them.

Another important detail has emerged in the Narin Güran murder case.

It was determined that immediately after the day the young girl went missing, Narin's imprisoned uncle Salim Güran, who is also the village headman (muhtar), created a WhatsApp group named "Narin Group" to closely monitor all activities and movements of the gendarmerie participating in the search operations and to take precautions accordingly.

While the image records obtained from the analyzed mobile phones are included in the supplementary folders of the case file heard at the High Criminal Court, it was determined that Uncle Salim Güran was the group administrator and that he added all family members bearing the Güran surname in the village to this group.

It was reported that this group, which included family members who are still imprisoned as well as those who are not, was established by Salim Güran himself, based on his own idea, immediately after the day Narin went missing.

THEY SHARED THE SLIGHTEST MOVEMENT, DELETED CONVERSATIONS DAILY

It was reported that all correspondence regarding Narin's fate, the gendarmerie's search operations, searches conducted in houses, barns, and outbuildings in the village, people called for testimony, and how and in what way these people gave their statements were shared in this group by the group members bearing the Güran surname.

While it was determined that the slightest activity in the village was instantly shared in the group and precautions and measures were taken accordingly, it was learned that at the end of the day, starting from midnight, Uncle Salim Güran, the group administrator, also gave instructions to the people in the group to clear the WhatsApp group chats daily.

It turned out that they formed the group because they could not come together one by one every day and could not make separate phone calls regarding developments in the village.

It was determined that the Güran family communicated instantly through the group they established to avoid attracting the attention of both the villagers and the gendarmerie, often holding family council meetings at home.

THEY ALSO ADDED THEIR NEPHEWS IN HAZRO

It was determined that Salim Güran did not just add family members bearing the Güran surname in the village to the group, but also added many people belonging to the Mehmetoğlu family, who are his nephews living in the Hazro district.

It also emerged that Salim Güran received ideas and support from the Mehmetoğlus on how and in what way the weapons they hid in the houses and barns in the village should be stored so they would not fall into the hands of the gendarmerie.

It was revealed that people belonging to the Mehmetoğlu family suggested to Salim Güran, who was worried that the gendarmerie would search the houses, barns, and outbuildings, that he should give the weapons to the women, suggesting that they could hide them more easily as the gendarmerie would not suspect the women.

WHO IS THE MEHMETOĞLU FAMILY?

The Mehmetoğlu family was also accused in 2018 of kidnapping and murdering a person who had a romantic relationship with their daughter, and a case was filed against them at the 8th High Criminal Court, where the Narin Güran case is being heard.

The court had returned the indictment of the case filed because the body could not be found. According to the allegation, the incident happened as follows: A young man named K.B. and Gülçin Mehmetoğlu, the daughter of former Hazro Mayor Fetullah Mehmetoğlu, were lovers.

K.B.'s family asked for Gülçin's hand in marriage from the Mehmetoğlu family. However, when the family did not consent to this, the young man named K.B. married another girl. K.B. encountered his former lover Gülçin Mehmetoğlu at a wedding he attended with his wife. Falling into a fit of jealousy, Gülçin sent messages to the woman the man she loved married, claiming that he was cheating on her.

RETURNED WITH THE REQUEST TO "FIND THE BODY AND EXPAND THE INVESTIGATION"

When these messages reached Gülçin's family, she was subjected to violence by her family on October 6, 2018.

Family members then kidnapped K.B., whom they held responsible for this incident, from Diyarbakır in a vehicle.

During the minutes the kidnapping took place, Gülçin Mehmetoğlu was taken to the hospital after being shot in her home. While Gülçin lost her life after being treated for 1 month, her former lover K.B. has not been found dead or alive to this day.

The Diyarbakır Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, which is conducting the investigation, filed a lawsuit against members of the Mehmetoğlu family regarding the murder of K.B. at the 8th High Criminal Court, where the Narin Güran murder case is being heard.

However, the court returned the indictment with a request to expand the investigation, stating that a murder trial cannot be held when there is no body, as the body has not been found to date.

It was determined that the Mehmetoğulları family, who have close kinship ties with the Güran family, directed Salim Güran from the WhatsApp group established during the days Narin Güran was missing.
